The 19th meeting of the Fish Remains Working Group (FRWG) of the International Council ofArchaeozoology (ICAZ), 1st-7th October, 2017 (Alghero and Stintino, Sardinia, Italy)
The 19th meeting of the Fish Remains Working Group (FRWG) will be held in Alghero and Stintino, Sardinia, Italy from 1st to 7th October 2017. This conference is being organized by the Archaeozoological Laboratory of the Department of Nature and Environmental Science at the University of Sassari.
The conference will promote discussions among scholars interested in various topics related tofish and fishery products of different geographical areas and temporal periods. From thephysical identification and archaeometric analyses of bones to the study of fishing andpreservation of fish through historical and other sources, the conference will focus on the impactthat activities related to fish exploitation have had on the economy of populations living alongcoastal and inland waterways in different parts of the world.
The deadline for registration is 28th February 2017. We request all colleagues who would like to present a paper and/or a poster to send us a preregistration with a preliminary title before the end of December 2016. Please send them by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
